STL Metro Youth Tournament Rules

Handicaps & Averages

• Handicaps will be 100% of the difference of the bowler’s average and 230
• Each bowler will use their highest 2022-23 book average unless the current average with a minimum of 12 games for the 2023-24 season as of October 31^st is higher. Then the 2023-24 average will be used.
• A copy of a current standings sheet must be submitted with entry form.
• Any averages that are found to be false will result in a disqualification from the tournament. The entry fee will not be refunded.

Entries are open to any current USBC Youth Cardholder

• USBC membership card must be presented at check in.
• All entries will be scheduled in order of date received
• Bowlers may compete more than once in Team Event provided at least 2 members are changed. Bowlers may bowl with a different partner in the Doubles event. Bowlers may bowl multiple times in Singles but can only place once in the standings.
• All entries in All Events may consist of males and females

Check in, Late Arrivals & Blinds

• Bowlers should check in thirty minutes prior to their squad time
• Substitute bowlers must have the same verification of average information as the regular bowlers. If a last-minute change is made, scores will be held out of the standings until proper average verification can be made.
• Blinds are permitted in Team Event only. Blind score will be the absent bowlers average minus 10 pins
• Late arrivals will start in the frames in which they are ready to bowl.

Conduct and Dress Code

• No hats, tank tops or frayed blue jeans. No clothing with text or designs depicting alcohol, drugs or tobacco products or obscene images.
• Any bowler or spectator using abusive language or unsportsmanlike conduct may be removed by a tournament official
• No FLASH CAMERAS may be used.
• Bowlers may not use cell phones, personal music devices, handheld games or any other item that would represent a distraction.

Protests

• All rules not specifically covered here will be covered by USBC tournament rules.
• All protests will be handled by the tournament director.
• The host center will appoint a Center Tournament Manager

Scholarships

• Scholarships will be awarded based on the total number of entries on a ratio of 1:8.
• In the event of a tie in any event, duplicate awards will be given.

Registered Volunteers

• All coaches and/or house youth representatives must display their USBC Registered Volunteer Badge in order to enter the bowlers’ area
